Roof Raising Project Profile
Hackensack University Medical Center
Clear Height After Lifting: 30 feet
Cubic Feet After Lifting: 899,000
Usable space added by raising the existing roof: 435,000
To achieve this, Rooflifters shored the existing roof structure to allow for the removal of interior columns and for the foundation work necessary for the mezzanine. Once the foundation work was completed the roof was raised to its new elevation.
The original use for the building was an indoor go-karting facility. The new use by HUMC is now a state-of-the-art sports and health center.
